I thought it was a nice alternative to the usual crystal bowls etc. , most people wind up giving for a wedding. I also got some for my sister in law who is a wine snob. Miss the stem but the glass travels much better from surface to surface. These are very light, fragile glasses so be aware of this before hand. It truly seems like the design enhances the wine.
